Spa day

Glacial Waters Spa at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa books group spa days, (218) 963-8703. Wing Wellness in Crosslake and Serenity Spa at Breezy Point Resort are other nearby options.

Shopping

Crosslake Town Square is about four miles away, with boutiques including Maverick Boutique. Downtown Nisswa is another good stop for an afternoon.

Food, drinks, and art

Lakeside lunch at Moonlite Bay or The Wharf, Dark Horse Brew in Town Square, or a painting class at Canvas and Cocktails in Pequot Lakes or Kicks the Art Place.

Call ahead to confirm hours and book spa appointments early, especially for groups.

A sample weekend

Friday: Get settled, make dinner together, and head to the fire pit.
Saturday: Spa day or shopping, then dinner out or a big meal back at the house.
Sunday: Slow morning on the patio, then a walk down to the water before heading home.
